Taking any trip with us is considered a “special occasion” and we treat it as such.  But there are some moments in life that deserve to be celebrated with just a little more fanfare than usual – milestone birthdays, a landmark anniversary, family reunions, a wedding.

In 2007 we helped plan:

50th Birthday in Venice.
The only instruction was “There is no price limit for my wife’s 50th birthday party”.  And we took this seriously.  Dinners in private palazzi throughout Venice and even on a tugboat in the Grand Canal.  Biking on the Lido.  Private glass-maker’s visit.  Music every night.  Masks and personalized costumes for the birthday dinner.  All catering by Harry’s Bar.  Even helicopters for a day up into the Dolomites where a Michelin-2-star chef, Norbert Neiderkofler, prepared a gourmet lunch in a mountain hut at 6,000 feet after which everyone enjoyed massages in heated tents.

An over-the-top celebration for the perfect couple, their friends and family, all of whom possessed great taste and were used to nothing but the best. A few days of fun events – wine tastings, cultural visits, biking in the vineyards, Michelin-starred catered dinners - culminated with the first-ever wedding held in the 15th century Hospices de Beaune.

50th Birthday in Tuscany.
Ten friends mad about gastronomy left the husbands at home and came to Tuscany for a culinary birthday celebration.  A week of the finest restaurants, intense wine tastings and great cooking classes.
