IP lawyers from all over the world gather to exchange ideas and make contacts.  Informative lectures in the mornings, biking and hiking in the afternoons and lots of good food and wine in the evenings.

MORNING
   

Full buffet breakfast in the dining room.  Many later risers head for the lectures with coffee, croissants, juice and eggs in hand.

8:30-11:00 AM.  Lectures.

  • Patent Pooling.  A US Perspective.
  • Package Licensing.
  • Competition Law and IP

Following lectures hikers transfer to the trailhead and bikers get ready to ride.

Hikers enjoy a 10 km rolling route from Ottrot up to the Abbey of Mont Ste Odile.

Bikers ride 40 km through the rolling vineyards surrounding Ribeauvillé, Hunawihr and Riquewihr.

  LUNCH
 

 

In order to maximize biking/hiking time we provide picnic lunches which are enjoyed in the vineyards along the way with a cool ½ bottle of Riesling wine.

  AFTERNOON
 

 

Late afternoon all rendezvous in Riquewihr for some time to browse the village and then enjoy a wine tasting with David Ling of the famous wine house, Hugel et Fils.

  EVENING
 

 

Dinner tonight at the finest restaurant in Alsace, Michelin 3-star l’Auberge de l’Ill in Illhausern.  Chef Marc Haeberlin looks after us as we progress through his magnificent 7 course tasting menu matched with the perfect Alsatian wines.

  HOTEL
 

 

Charming, quaint, comfortable and friendly.  This typical Alsatian auberge, L’Hôtel du Parc with its excellent meeting space, lovely garden, very good restaurant and efficient staff is perfect for this week.
