Tom Hamilton : Director Hamilton Fitzjames
Tom holds a BA in English literature and an LLB from Queen’s University. He practiced law for a very short period of time before deciding to follow his passion for fine wine and active travel in 1982. He and Athlyn founded their own company, Hamilton Fitzjames in 1994. Tom speaks fluent French and Italian.
Athlyn Fitz-James : Director Benefactor Travel
Athlyn holds an M.Phil degree in the history of art with a thesis written in Siena, Italy in 1991. She taught The History of Medieval Renaissance Art in Toronto, Florence and Siena from 1981 to 1990 and has been involved with organizing cultural travel since 1977. Athlyn speaks fluent French and Italian.
Alessandro Conti : Program Consultant
Alex grew up in Rome, the Canary Islands and England. He completed his MA in archaeology at the British School in Rome and lived in Naples where he worked for NATO receiving incoming diplomats. He speaks fluent Italian, Spanish and French.
Dale Grzegorczyk : Director Client Relations
Dale is an expert in the cultural travel business, helping thousands of people with their trips all over the world since 1987. From the inception of Hamilton Fitzjames, Dale has run the Client Relations Office and is the point person for all trip enquiries and travelers' questions.
Laura Himsworth : Program Consultant
Laura is a graduate of Downing College, Cambridge University where she read French and German. She was awarded a scholarship in Austria and completed her MA in International Relations in Vienna. Laura speaks fluent French and German.
Natalie Kunert : Program Consultant
Natalie studied languages at King’s College London then received an MA from Sotheby’s where she completed her thesis on the South American Art Market. Natalie teaches piano in her off-hours and is fluent in French and Spanish.
Kiloran McRae : Program Consultant
Kiloran studied Italian language and literature at the University of Perugia in Italy and completed her MA at the University of Toronto with a thesis on Ariosto. She is a gardening specialist and has been involved with creating and leading international programs since 1980. She speaks fluent Italian and French.
